Great Son in the NW

After spending the whole day on Saturday moving into my new apartment, I decided to go and meet some of my friends at The Goodfoot. When I got there, the band was in between songs and there was a short line as the bouncer checked IDs. While on that line I heard my new landlady scream something about “the blah blah neighborhood”. “Oh boy, this is going to be a fun evening,” I thought to myself. As I was completing that thought, the band started their next song. Oh my god they were awesome. I couldn’t help but smile and wish that the line would move faster. I needed to get in there and dance.
Caña Son , whose bandleader is also the chef at Pambiche , is a band that plays traditional Cuban son. Their website touts them as the “The Hottest Cuban band in the NW.” and I would definitely agree. The music was amazing. The place was full of people dancing and having a great time. They have a couple of shows coming up. I would recommend checking their website and catch one of their shows. You wont regret it. Trust me.
