Smell Meme

Here is my response to a smell meme started by Mike and passed along to me by Al.

Total Volume of smells My volume of smell is rather large, or at least there are a lot of different smells that I come across on a weekly basis. Starting with the shampoo and soap I use in the morning, to different smells that I come across my weekly hikes. Then there are the distinct smells of various conference rooms on campus, the different smells along the route to and from work, and the smells of the different restaurants and drinking establishments that I visit.

The Last Smell I Bought I bought a new tent last week before a camping trip this past weekend. The tent had this new tent smell which now has been replaced with camp fire smell.

Smell Smelling Right Now I am not really smelling anything right now, at least not that I can detect. I did clean the litter box yesterday.

Five Smells I Smell a Lot that Mean a Lot to Me 1. The smell of fresh baked bread. I don’t necessarily smell this a lot but it makes me happy whenever I smell it and it is my favorite smell. 2. The smell of grains boiling when making beer. It is an awesome smell I love it. 3. The smell of my cat’s litter box when I forgot to clean it out the day before. 4. The smell of the fuels that I use for fire dancing. 5. The smell of perfumes/body oils of people that I know. Especially when they linger and I can still smell them when they are not around.

Two Smells I Hate 1. The smell of my cat’s litter box when I forgot to clean it out the day before. (I know, I know, I used this one already, but I hate it.) 2. I have to agree with Al, Bob’s fridge is nasty.

Three People Whom I’m Passing the Baton Leopoldo - He is in France for two weeks and I am hoping that he gets this before he returns. Don - He is living in India for a year and I am sure he is experiencing some new and interesting smells Dan - Because he has not updated his blog since December 9th.
