Leg Waxing for Art

Friday night I went to Kaosmosis’ MEDUSALON event at the Bossanova Ballroom. It was a night of performance art, bands and DJs. One of the performance pieces was called “Free Leg Waxes for Straight Dudes Now!” The description from the site reads: “A ritualized act of leg waxing for straight dudes, administered by the girl who lives inside the straight dude’s own psyche. The ritual is complete when a work of art is created.” The “work of art” was a painting of Lilith (Adam’s first wife), that was cut up into strips. Each strip was used to wax a “straihgt” dude’s leg and then revealed on a frame. A friend of mine volunteered to “contribute” a strip to the painting. Once you had contributed you were supposed to go out and find another contributor. So who does he turn to? Me of course. At first I am reluctant but some how I am convinced to go ahead and contribute. Below you can see the result of my contribution.
I am still not sure why I did it. I hope it grows back soon. I am told that it will take 3 to 4 weeks for the hair to grow back. Maybe by then, Mike’s secret project will be over and he can contribute to my cause.
