Alegría

We went to go see Cirque Du Soleil’s Alegría last night. One of Erin’s sisters bought us tickets this past Christmas. We had a great time and really enjoyed the show but we felt a little cheatd. We felt that the second act was too short and we could have done with some of the acts.

The last act, the trapeze, was not an eye popping jaw dropping act. There were nine flyers that did some really amazing things that you and I couldnt’ do. But I was expecting more out of circus professionals. I was expecting the act to build up and end in a grande finale of trapeze amazement. But it didn’t. It just ended. As well as the show. I just sat there in my seat thinking to my self, “Thats it, its over? No there has to be more!” But there wasn’t.

With that said, it was still an enjoyable show. The clowns where amusing and there were numerous acts that where great. There was one act where the stage opened up and revealed two long troughs that had trampolines on the bottom. The performers would run up and down and perform all these crazy twists and flips. It was great. My favorite act was the hula hoop girl, for lack of a better name. The way she used her body to manipulate the hoops was amazing.

Over all it was a good show I was just expecting a little bit more.
